Pay2Value is built on a simple principle: Your money is your own private business.
Unlike traditional personal finance apps that upload your bank connections, spending habits, and account balances to cloud servers, Pay2Value is an offline-first local application.
All of your expenses, transaction amounts, custom categories, and satisfaction ratings are stored strictly in an encrypted/local SQLite database on your personal mobile device. We do not operate any custom user database servers, and we never upload or sell your personal financial logs.
Pay2Value includes an optional receipt scanning feature that uses your device's native system photo picker and Google ML Kit on-device text recognition.
Images you choose are read on your phone and never uploaded. Text recognition happens 100% locally on your device hardware, and the image data is never transmitted to any external server or third party.
Pay2Value includes an optional payment auto-capture feature that reads push notifications from supported payment and banking apps to help you record expenses quickly.
Notification content is processed strictly on your device and is never uploaded. The app only listens to notifications from an approved list of payment apps, extracts the amount and merchant name locally, and discards non-payment notifications immediately. Nothing is recorded or added to your spending history without your explicit confirmation.
Pay2Value allows you to connect your personal Google account to automatically back up your financial records. When enabled, your backup is stored strictly in a private, hidden Application Data folder (drive.appdata) in your own Google Drive.
Pay2Value cannot view, access, or modify any of your other personal Google Drive files, and the developers have zero access to your data.
In addition, you can export a full manual backup file or CSV export at any time from Settings. Your data is stored strictly in the destination you choose.
Pay2Value connects to Expo's update service (EAS Update) to download seamless performance improvements and bug fixes.
During this process, only technical app metadata (such as app version, runtime version, and OS platform) is transmitted to determine if an update is available. No spending entries, categories, or personal financial data are ever transmitted to or stored on update servers.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your financial records with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties. We do not include third-party advertising SDKs or tracking cookies.
Pay2Value offers an optional App Lock feature using your device's biometric authentication (fingerprint, Face ID) or device screen lock credentials (PIN/pattern).
Biometric verification is handled strictly by your device's operating system via local hardware APIs. Pay2Value never has access to, collects, or transmits your fingerprint, facial recognition, or screen PIN data.
