Pay2Value › PayLater: track what you owe
PayLater in Malaysia: how to see everything you owe
Buy now, pay later feels small because each payment is small. The trouble starts when there are several apps, each with its own due date.
Make one list, once a week
Open each PayLater app you use (SPayLater in Shopee, Atome, Grab PayLater, TikTok PayLater and others).
Write down for each one: how much is left to pay, and the next due date.
Add it up. This total is what you really owe, not the small monthly amounts.
Set a phone reminder a few days before each due date. Late payment can add fees.
Habits that help
- Try not to open a new PayLater plan while another is still running.
- Don't use one loan to pay another. It usually makes the total bigger.
- Before buying, ask: would I still buy this if I had to pay it all today?
If you are finding it hard to pay
AKPK (Agensi Kaunseling dan Pengurusan Kredit), set up by Bank Negara Malaysia, gives free money and debt counselling: akpk.org.my. Also contact the app's own customer service early, before a payment is late.
See PayLater buys in your monthly spending
Pay2Value can pick up payment notifications from Shopee, Atome and Grab, so buys paid that way still show up in your monthly spending and your "would you buy it again?" answers.
